- Description
- A great opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding Central London international bank for an Assistant Risk Manager. The ideal candidate will have an strong all-round risk background (with a strong focus on Operational Risk), and will act as a key contact within the UK operations and Head Office with Risk Management handling, reporting and relevant issues related to risks.
Duties to include:
• Key contact between the UK branch and Head Office on Risk Management handling, reporting and relevant issues related to risks.
• Ensure that risk incidents from all departments are consolidated and that monthly reporting of risk incidents and related data to Head Office is prepared accurately and promptly.
• Ensure that of risk incidents to Head Office is carried out and promptly when necessary.
• Conduct updates & reviews on Operational Risk, Legal Risk and New Product Manuals
• Facilitate effective management of risk (e.g. coordinate regular review/ update of risk manuals).
• Ensure compliance with risk manuals and reporting any non-compliance incidents to Head Office.
• Lead the monthly meetings and prepare minutes.
• Coordinate and consolidate Risk Control Self-Assessment
• Prepare MI on risks.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry development of risks
• Provide assistance to Credit Section on legal terms and conditions related to lending.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects of the Bank that are related to new/changes in banking rules and regulations, when requested.
To be considered for this role applicants MUST recent relevant all round risk experience(all Risks other than Credit Risk), ideally gained within an International Banking environment. Candidates with Cantonese language skills are preferred.
