- Application Support Engineer with experience in international payments applications required by a global trading house based in the City.
Applicants will have experience of the following:
· Current or recent experience as an Application Support Engineer/Analyst, within an international payments / banking / trading
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
· The ability to manage conflicting / changing priorities and trouble-shoot recurring application problems or incidents in sometimes high-pressure situations
· Experience creating / updating technical knowledge documentation
· SQL - the ability to write queries
· .Net / C# experience
· PowerShell scripting experience
· Experience using JIRA / Confluent or other bug-tracing tool
· Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design & Development
You will be required to provide application support for the international payments business investigating and troubleshooting application issues including critical and complex issues and prioritising effectively to provide the best possible service to the customer. The ability to create and drive permanent solutions to improve efficiency is key. Applicants will be required to demonstrate strong analytical skills and an interest in problem resolution.
The team also operate an on-call rotation to cover hours outside of standard hours. Standard hours are 9am – 6pm Monday - Friday.
