- A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Payments Assistant with experience of processing cheque payments to join this prestigious City-based private bank 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
You will have a keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to work and will be required to process inward and outward cheque clearing, inputting of transactions into the system and preparation and despatch of statements.
- Input and imaging of all inward client receipts
- Check accuracy of all items input over the banks systems
- Check and review of work for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting any discrepancies, errors or fraudulent cheques
- Dealing with postal remittances, inputting details into the system
- Preparation of remittance cheques
- Input of daily sterling balances for Treasury Department
- Preparation, scanning and indexing of documents and data items for input into the imaging system
- Preparation and despatch of customer statements and Visa statements
- Liaising with customers dealing with their queries and issuing standard letters
