- Description
- An excellent opportunity has arisen within a well-established international bank in the West End for a Head of Operations & IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality operational support to all departments, managing the Payment / settlement operations, quality assurance functions (KYC / CDD) and IT frameworks whilst supporting the bank in the management of operational risk. The position requires a candidate with a detailed understanding of Retail banking back office operational tasks who can collaborate with other banking departments affectively to mitigate risks and streamline processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set strategies and workable plans to realise business/organizational goals.
- Direct responsibility for Payment and Settlement Operations team whilst ensuring the bank is compliant with the relevant payment regulations.
- Establish and implement appropriate policies and procedures relevant to the management of the Bank's general office operations.
- Ensure the banks Operational Risk framework is maintained; collaborate with IT Department to implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
- Responsible for Operational Project work.
- Oversee the quality assurance unit to ensure the day-to-day Customer Due Diligence/know-your-Customer systems and control is carried out to a high standard.
- Direct responsibility for facility management & health and safety policies.
