- Description
- The jobholder will be required to develop relationships with management and staff in the IT as well as business areas; develop a deep understanding of the business areas; and plan, perform and report on operational audits, supporting SOX compliance. The role will involve some national and international travel (c. 20%).You will be expected to:"Evaluate, the efficiency and effectiveness of IT and operational processes and internal control infrastructure, drawing and articulating well-formulated conclusions and cost-effective recommendations"Works with external auditors on their audit of the company's IT general controls and key systems/reports that support financial statements"Assist in the review and design audits of new system development"Contribute to the development of departmental standards and audit methodology, participate in the support and administration of internal audit related tools and software"Assist with various audit projects"Complete special projects at the direction of Internal Audit and Executive ManagementRole Requirements"Previous IT audit experience including Public Accounting and/or industry, Financial Services industry preferred."Experience with generally accepted accounting principles and auditing requirements."Relevant qualification preferred (CPA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA)"Good working knowledge of industry best practices General IT Controls, Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO 270001, ISMS, NIST, COBIT, SOC 1 and/or SOC 2 requirements."Able to work co-operatively and effectively in a team environment."Able to juggle multiple priorities and deliver within pre-agreed deadlines."Excellent communication skills, including the ability to openly express views and opinions.
