A dynamic and forward thinking financial services company are seeking to hire a qualified Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Joining a high performing and well-established team, the candidate will be responsible forproducing timely and accurate reports of management and statutory accounts with day to day responsibilities that include collecting, analysing, investigating and reporting financial data, as well as CASS Reconciliations.
You will be required to:
- Prepare monthly management accounting packs
- Present management accounts to senior management on a monthly basis
- Responsible for the accurate production of the Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement
- Review the statutory accounts, ensure that the accounts accurately reflect the financial performance of the Group
- Ensure reconciliations for client monies are properly carried out for each client on the platform in line with FCA CASS requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors - preparation of working papers to support the production of the Annual Accounts
- Prepare first draft of FCA reports and submit to FD on a timely basis
- Review and monitor support team and the quality of their work
- Identify trends and provide analytical insight
- Understanding of management accounts journals for entry into nominal ledgers
- 2 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in a business or finance environment, preferably in a financial services industry
- Knowledge of FCA CASS reporting requirements.
- Strong IT skills - including MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information to non-native English speakers
