- An exciting opportunity has arisen within a City-based trading house for an Accounts Assistant to join them for a period of 12 months to cover maternity. Working to support the Finance Team, you will be required to assist with purchase ledger processing and posting.
Duties to include:
· Processing payments by BACS
· Bank reconciliations
· Purchase ledger processing
· General ledger coding and posting
· Processing staff expenses and dealing with relating queries
· Recording invoices and expenses in the system, ensuring timely authorisation and settlement
· Manual filing
To be considered for this role applicants must have previous accounting experience to include accounts payable and a working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping. You will demonstrate sound IT skills (Word, Excel, accounting software) with a flexible in their approach to work. AAT qualification would be desirable but not essential.
