- A well established ‘Challenger’ bank in London are seeking a Credit Risk Manager to strengthen their 2nd Line of Defence Credit Risk team, providing oversight in the key lending areas of property development, property investment, short term lending/bridging and asset finance.
Playing an integral role in developing and implementing the Bank’s Risk Strategy, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the credit quality assurance / audit of the Bank’s lending portfolios, act as a gate keeper for the quality of lending decisions through effective quality assurance and analysis of the appropriate.They will ensure adherence to policies and standard operating procedures and support the Head of Credit Risk with credit risk oversight across the portfolios.
Duties:
Undertake credit quality assurance / audit of the Bank’s lending portfolios to ensure adherence to policies and standard operating procedures
Support the Head of Credit Risk with credit risk oversight across the portfolios
Develop and manage the credit quality assurance process, discuss findings with the lending teams, agree outcomes & recommend appropriate actions
Produce reports for the Head of Credit Risk for submission to the Banks Credit Committee and Board Risk Committee
Support the Head of Credit Risk with credit risk oversight including monitoring the lending teams credit stewardship activity, portfolio reviews & policy reviews
Produce and submit reports for Credit and Board Risk Committees
Applications are welcome from individuals with previous credit risk or quality assurance experience in key lending areas of property development, property investment, short term lending/bridging and asset finance. Strong report writing experience is essential to include credit risk assurance, management and oversight reports.
