- A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding global trading house for a Financial Engineer to work on their Fixed Income and Equities business. Working alongside Product Development, Data, Programme Management IT and Quant team, the Financial Engineer will play a key role in developing new modules system solutions to support their platform.
The role will encompass both data management and product management duties and will include the following:
- Validate both data and data production processes
- Analyse quantitative analytic measures and applicable reference data used to derive those calculations
- Facilitate and develop process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation
- Provide analytics for performance results relating to version upgrades
- Perform QA analysis on functionality
- Analyse asset data highlighting current trends
- Provide solutions to product issues
- Work with Product Team to analyse client data to inform product feature decisions
- Deliver business solutions through end user computing development
- Assess the existing operational workflow to achieve operational efficiency, produce related documentation, data requirement specifications and test cases for QA
- Analyse data for business strategy enhancement suggesting improvements for fixed income and equities business strategy
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Maths, Finance, Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering or Computer Science
- CFA Level 1 or higher
- Advanced level VBA, SQL, Python or other data mining tool (MatLab, R etc.) and scripting.
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income, Equity and Derivative instruments
