- Description
- International Asset Manager based in the West End requires a Portfolio Operations Analyst to join their Operations Team. Working in this business-critical function the successful candidate will have frequent interaction with Account Management, Back Office and the Investment Team.
You will be required to:
- Set up new funds / portfolios on the system
- Monitor and control the stale prices
- Maintain the classification of securities
- Maintain valuations
- Dealing with NAV an position reconciliations and exception reports
- Accounting for cash positions and corporate actions
- Manage start and end of day processes
- Respond to back office enquiries
- Monitor and report breaches and review trading breaches
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong knowledge of investment fund structures (on-shore and off-shore structures, UCITS, Trusts) with relevant middle office experience gained within asset management, private wealth management or a hedge fund to include fund accounting and reconciliations
- Outstanding analytical skills with strong problem solving skills
- Proven ability to operate efficiently in a high pressure environment and to deliver towards tight deadlines
- Advanced abilities with Excel is essential
- Degree in Economics or other related numerical degree (minimum 2:1 classification or equivalent). IAQ or IMC preferred
