A leading global, financial institution based in the City is looking for a Systems Engineer specialising in Regulatory Trade Reporting to join their Operations Systems department. Working closely with operations teams across the business, you will be responsible for creating, developing and enhancing back office systems in order to increase efficiency within regulatory and compliance teams and develop the service supplied to the wider operations business.
You will be responsible for operating and supporting the systems from end to end, analysing processes within trade reporting functions and identifying improvements whilst working with the IT department to shape the future of their technology with creative solutions
Requirements of the role:
• Experience with professional front end, web, or mobile software developing with C#, .Net, MVC, JavaScript
• Professional experience with relational database development (Microsoft SQL Server), basic web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS)
• Strong in Computer Science fundamentals and core areas like problem solving, data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
• Understanding of design and skills relating to the user experience
• Knowledge of financial markets or a strong desire to learn
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as required.
• Knowledge of server-side configuration and deployment (IIS, TeamCity, Octopus).
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Front-end development frameworks:
o Angular, React
o Cloud services (Microsoft Azure)
o Message queue-based designs/implementations (WebSphere MQ)
o Git code repositories
o Reporting services
