- Description
- A highly-regarded City-based private bank is seeking to strengthen it’s Operations Department with a Reporting and Reconciliations Manager. Working closely to support and deputise for the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team across multiple disciplines and taking ownership of:
- Monitoring of Best Execution and transaction reporting
- Tax reporting (especially for UK clients)
- CASS oversight
- FATCA/CRS/US QI Reporting
- Reconciliations
What you will be doing day-to-day:
- Implementing and maintaining a schedule of all client facing and regulatory reports
- Monitoring the CASS Governance Framework and Resolution Pack, ensuring these are kept fully up to date and comply with regulatory updates.
- Keeping up to date with current UK tax legislation affecting client assets held to ensure the correct tax treatment and reporting for clients and providing oversight of the outsourced CGT service provider.
- Working with internal and external auditors
- Lead the recruitment, training and development of the team, conducting appraisals
- Acting as the first point of contact for operational risk issues in Reconciliations and Reporting.
- Acting as the Deputy for the Head of Operations, deputising for them in their absence
Requirements for the role:
- Knowledge of UK tax on investments and instruments; Knowledge and understanding of CASS regulations; regulatory understanding of Best Execution monitoring and Transaction Reporting; understanding of FATCA/CRS/US QI requirements, oversight of outsourced arrangements gained in an investment management/wealth management environment.
- Experience in a leadership role – ideally with staff covering multiple disciplines
- Sound knowledge of UK tax on investments and instruments, especially with regard to CGT and Income tax for tax year end reporting.
- Sound knowledge of CASS rules and regulations, especially with regard to oversight of the control framework and Resolution Pack.
- Good understanding of trading and Best Execution and Timeliness monitoring.
- Good understanding of MIFIR reporting requirements, providing oversight of daily reports and producing regular MI.
- Good understanding of documentation and reporting required for USQI, FATCA and CRS.
- Experience of producing and maintaining policies, procedures and Governance Framework.
