- Compliance Officer - Hedge Fund Start UpOur client is a City-based Hedge Fund due to launch in the coming months is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to their expanding team. Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the Compliance Program across the UK and US.Duties to include:"Responsible for all compliance and regulatory matters with the group."FCA/EU Compliance monitoring and Regulatory Reporting"FCA Authorisation applications"SMCR fit and proper assessments and certifications"Co-ordinating and performing risk-based monitoring reviews to assess regulatory requirements and any gaps in internal policies."Drafting and reviewing Compliance Policies including the Compliance Manual and AML/CFT Policy"Review of Offering Documents and Marketing Materials"KYC and AML reviews"Assist CCO in designing and delivering annual compliance/AML training to employees"Risk assessments per all clients, vendors and associated persons"Work with CCO, COO and CRO to establish an effective Governance Framework."Assisting with regulatory inspections or enquiries and coordinating responses with input from relevant stakeholdersSkills & Experience:"Bachelors degree or equivalent industry qualification (Law, Business Administration or Finance preferred)"At least 5-8 years work experience in UK/EU financial services compliance preferably coming from Consultancy/Hedge fund;"Extensive knowledge of AIFMD and MiFID II"Experience with US/SEC/CFTC regulations desirable"Proactive and solution orientated, able to work independently and in real time."Strong attention to detail"Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Please note that this position is entirely office-based and there is no remote working option available.This vacancy is being advertised by Montpellier Resourcing Limited.
