- Rapidly expanding City-based trading house is seeking to strengthen it’s Client Services Payments function with the addition of a Team Manager to focus on their Financial Institution / Banking clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s portfolio of transaction banking clients receive a best-in-class service whilst overseeing the general function and performance of the team.
The position holder will act as the gateway for clients to access to other teams throughout the payments business in order for their query or request to be resolved.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the team, providing a first level response and problem-solving resources to clients and ensuing a first-class, proactive customer service experience
- Assisting with the onboarding of new clients
- Assisting with process improvement and design from a financial institution client, client services perspective
- Producing regular reports on client interaction and transactions
- Working with the wider global client services team to reduce the number of investigations required and increase the number of transactions
- Travelling for client visits and events when required.
- Training new joiners
- Reporting on customer service metrics for clients
Requirements for the role:
- Previous industry experience in a client services management / supervisory / team lead position dealing predominantly payments clients is essential to this role
- Experience dealing with financial institution clients preferred.
- Knowledge of payment and settlement systems would be advantageous
- A strong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in another language would be desirable but not essential
- Meticulous in your work with strong analytical skills
- Ability to use initiative, work with minimal supervision with an appreciation for the necessity to communicate and coordinate work efforts with other employees and organisations.
