- Description
- A highly reputable international bank in Central London is recruiting for a customer-focussed and enthusiastic Messenger to provide an efficient and effective postal & delivery services, manage stocks of stationery and office supplies and provide day to day health and safety and facilities inspection/ duties. The successful candidate will demonstrate solid Messenger / post room experience ideally gained within a professional services company and will be a well-presented team player.
Duties to include:
- Collecting and distributing mail; collecting and delivering boxes and parcels from the main delivery area in the building

Sorting incoming mail and distributing efficiently and accurately to departments and / or individuals
Daily walks to/from local clearing bank re collection & delivery of clearing cheques - Cheque and paying-in book, ordering, checking and distribution
- Distribute incoming faxes
- Special delivery and courier processing and arrangements
- Internal inter-section paper communication distribution
- Daily and monthly statement distribution and posting
- Sorting and franking outgoing mail and using special delivery Royal Mail services
- Booking couriers both nationally and internationally
- Managing internal bank archiving, maintaining accurate records and retrieving boxes
- Monitoring stationary levels and reordering as necessary
- Emptying confidential shredding bins
Candidates should be enthusiastic and demonstrate proven relevant Messenger experience, gained within a corporate environment. You will demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and a flexible, proactive approach to work.
