- Due to a period of expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Underwriter to join a fast-growing SME banking group in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting all new buy-to-let, Semi Commercial, and Bridging finance applications in line with the company lending policy.
Duties to include:
- Underwrite and approve loans against agreed lending criteria
- To understand and analyse key items such as credit searches, property portfolio, bank statements, financial accounts, and security valuations to make lending decisions
- Handling broker calls on specific cases under review; manage customer expectations
- Liaising with internal departments (Legal, Risk and Sales) and external parties (Surveyors, Solicitors and Customers)
