A newly created opportunity has arisen within an international banking group in Central London for a candidate to join the Credit Risk team. Working closely with Senior Management, the purpose of the role is to carry out control and recovery duties on the credit portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with an excellent educational background with a some banking experience (ideally gained across Compliance / Risk / Operations) - full training is provided!

Duties will include:

• Identify and highlight excess, past due and other irregularities in customer accounts. Liaise with front office for further handling where relevant.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on excess, past due and other irregular accounts.
• Carry out review of memos on downgrading/ upgrading of internal ratings.
• Prepare payment reminders, deadline or demand letters where relevant.
• Handle the recovery work and monitor the overall impairment loss and impaired loan ratio of portfolio.
• Prepare MI on irregular accounts and assist in ad-hoc projects.
• Prepare periodic reporting to Head Office on credit related issues.
• Review & update the manuals including the Debt Recovery Section of the Credit Risk Management Manual
• Carry out consumer & company credit checking for overall group
• Provide cover for Assistant Credit Analyst (Credit Assessment).

This successful candidate will have an excellent educational background and must be able to speak Cantonese fluently. Candidates must have 1-2 years experience working in a bank, ideally in Risk or Compliance.
