A Central London based international banking group requires an Operations Officer to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have all round back-office experience including Operational Risk mitigation, Payment and Settlement services (Swift, T24) & premises management. Candidates must be able to speak Cantonese fluently.

Duties to include:

• Assist in producing and reviewing regulatory change documentation (e.g., Business continuity plan / Document retention policy / Operations risk reports) that falls within scope of the Operations and Settlement Department - assist Operations Manager to implement changes required.
• Assist in regular visits to branches, covering premises management and Health & Safety aspects
• Assist Operations Manager to ensure that payment services follow regulation.
• Oversee Health and Safety across all UK branches.
• Check and input payment / settlement instructions in T24 / SWIFT platforms) and perform all relevant tasks (e.g., check and open Nostro / Vostro accounts, check opening positions etc.)
• Coordinate with departments
• Handle or report all investigations, departmental queries, and suspicious transaction.
• Prepare month end and daily reports.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have extensive experience gained across the banking back office (payment & settlement operations). Applicants must also have strong report writing skills and possess the ability to research regulatory documentation and translate requirements into operational processes.
