- Leading, global financial services organisation based in the City is seeking to strengthen it’s HR department with the addition of an Employee Relations Advisor for the EMEA region. Reporting into the HR Director, this is a standalone position, which focusses solely on the ER function where you will partner with HRBPs and other key stakeholders in order to provide specialist guidance on employee relations, employment law and change management issues.
As an effective relationship builder, you will provide support to change programmes which impact the business and ensure that all employment-related policies for the EMEA region are compliant and maintained in accordance with local laws.
What you will be doing:
- Providing advice and support to HR Business Partners and key stakeholders across the business on key HR areas (change management, TUPE, absence management, maternity, disciplinary, performance management, grievance and redundancy). Managing relevant consultations with employees and preparing relevant paperwork, maintaining excellent records and producing activity reports
- Developing, updating, communicating and implementing HR policies and procedures according to local laws, ensuring they meet business needs and are consistent and compliant
- Liaising with 3rd party legal providers to ensure compliance with employment law in relation to practices and tribunal claims
- Providing guidance and coaching to managers and employees in dealing with ER situations, improving knowledge and understanding in order to avoid future issues and better manage situations
- Assisting or leading projects (where required)
Requirements for the role:
- Proven Employee Relations / Internal Relations experience within a fast-paced environment, multi-jurisdictional environment with the ability to manage the function as the sole Employee Relations representative
- Experience of managing grievances, performance improvement and employment tribunal cases as well as acquisition integration experience to include TUPE transfers and collective consultation
- Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice with experience advising on employment law related matters across EMEA
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise projects and work collaboratively or independently
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation
