- A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systems Analyst at a rapidly expanding global trading group. The focus of the role will be on working product delivery and customer facing technology offerings, where you will be responsible for defining the design, development, and implementation of products and service offerings.
The successful candidate will also lead and coordinate the translation of business/product requirements to system requirements including functional specifications, use-cases and logical flow modelling. Serving as the primary requirements liaison for a software development team, you will analyse and produce requirements whilst ensuring the accuracy of their implementation.
Duties to include:
- Be the primary facilitator responsible for defining and documenting software requirements for large-scale development projects;
- Spearhead internal projects and coordinate with internal teams to streamline operational processes as well as ensure adherence to all internal policies and regulations;
- Work with colleagues in different business units, development teams and time zones to collect, discuss and assess business requirements and translate relevant requirements into functional specs for feasibility and resources analysis
- Analyse, design and document workflows and maintain system processes
- Assess the impact new systems and features have on existing systems, and communicate those impacts to the appropriate internal teams and stakeholders, and to the external member and vendor community;
- Enforce change-control procedures to ensure requirements changes are approved by stakeholders and clearly communicated to the release team;
- Develop analysis artifacts including use-cases, activity diagrams, user-interface schematics, business rules, technical specifications, process flows, and API documentation;
- Identify risks and enhance controls
- Support the technical development and quality-assurance efforts, as required;
- Assist project management with prioritization and tracking the implementation of system requirements;
- Develop relationships with Vendors and stakeholder to foster a dialogue to improve day to day processes, ensure full engagement and buy-in
To be considered, you must have experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics or Finance, or related discipline
- Systems/business analysis, quality assurance, or related experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities and good ability to understand strategic business issues and appreciate technical and operation implications.
- Experience using iterative development methodologies such as RUP and/or Agile
- Experience working in a similar role in a financial services company - trading preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to aggressive deadlines
- Ability to explain technical details
- Experience working on technology / business change data Programmes is highly advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel VBA, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Experience creating Tableau dashboards is highly desirable.
- Experience executing database queries for data analysis
- Experience with user interface design, and the latest web technologies a plus
- Experience with API development (particularly XML, FiXML, and/or FpML) a plus
