- Global furniture distribution company is seeking to strengthen it’s Sales Team with the addition of an organised, multi-tasking and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist on a remote working basis. The purpose of this role is to oversee the planning and ordering of goods to deadlines whilst ensuring a best-in-class customer service.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, based in the US., this is a crucial role for the business where the successful candidate will bring together orders and stock seamlessly, enabling the business to fulfil client needs effectively including installation and aftercare. You will also be responsible for providing sales support to dealer partners and providing support to the Sales Manager as required.
Duties to include:
- Provide daily sales support back-up to Sales Manager to include coverage of the quoting and sales processes to provide a timely response and drive sales
- Manage the domestic freight process from when goods arrive in US
- Manage warehousing and stock inventory in US
- Manage the spare parts process for the US Market and become the point of contact for installation questions
- Provide reporting and tracking for sales/commissions and Dealer Programs
- Provide administration, tracking and reporting for various state and buying group contracts
- Manage the payment process for operational invoices with accounts
- Simplify and streamline invoicing and payments processes
- Work with Logistics to develop, launch and facilitate a virtual training program for installers
- Manage the ordering process with the manufacturer in Poland
- Manage the international freight process from customer ordering stage
Requirements for the role:
- Proven experience managing freight and logistics processes
- Demonstrable and successful selling and negotiation experience, ideally within the office furniture marketplace
- Ability to prioritise effectively within a fast-changing environment, whilst keeping a customer-centric view
- Ability to review, develop and manage processes and systems
- Experience managing budgets
- Ability to manage stakeholders and meet/manage expectations
- Strong Excel/Microsoft Office suite skills
