- Description
- International banking group has a requirement for THREE Forfaiting and Shipping Officers to join them on fixed term contracts of 6 or 12 months. Applicants will have a sound technical knowledge of Trade Finance documentation and products. Duties will include:
- General administration duties for operational aspects of trade finance products.
- Setting up of new customers in the system
- Monitoring insurance events and actioning, where necessary
- The opening and closing of structured import Letters of Credit
- Processing Letters of Guarantee / collections
- 1st checking of documentation
- Chasing up outstanding documentation
- Actioning payments by SWIFT
- Ensuring all transactions are processed and settled to deadlines
- Check Nostro reconciliations ensuring any forfaiting-related items are actioned
- Liaison with Relationship Managers and customers regarding transactions and/or approvals.
Applicants must demonstrate recent relevant forfaiting, receivables or Trade Finance experience, preferably gained within a banking environment, although not essential. Applicants should be available immediately or on a short notice period.
