- A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Service Lead within an international banking group based in the City. Reporting into the Head of IT, the successful applicant will be working in a fast-paced and demanding environment and will require a high level of infrastructure technology knowledge, supporting the governance, administration, planning and organisation of IT services provided as well as assist with the management of the IT Team (dotted line reports) and drive continuous improvement in IT delivery and promote innovation.
Duties to include:
- Close liaison with the Head of IT and Group IT issues as they arise
- Manage IT framework: maintenance of framework and implementing processes
- Procurement: purchasing, contracts, subscriptions etc. Reviewing and monitoring. Managing assets and maintaining inventory.
- Information Security: assisting with the implementation of strategy
- Managing resolving incidents and service requests
- Budget managing and tracking
- Managing IT programme management: status tracking, reporting and documentation
- Close liaison with Operational Risk to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and promoting the operational risk culture bank-wide
- Monitor and ensure disaster recovery readiness
- Maintain all systems, processes and user documentation
The ideal candidate will demonstrate recent relevant experience as an IT Service Lead, or the equivalent, preferably gained within a Financial Services environment. Experience of IT best practices and frameworks ITIL v3 or COBIT5 implementation / awareness would be highly desirable.
