- Description
- A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a global trading house in the City for a Market Risk Analyst. The ideal candidate will ideally have 1 - 2 years financial services experience gained within Market Risk or with some risk management exposure who is looking to progress to the next stage in their career. Candidates should possess a good knowledge of market risk sensitivities and have experience of at least one of the following products:
- commodity futures & options
- equities
- fixed income
- precious metals
- FX
What you will be doing day-today:
- Monitoring overnight and intraday risk
- Monitoring risk of client and firm positions and escalating any breaches where required
- Producing / maintaining a variety of risk management performance and risk reports
- Analysis and approval of position transfers, give-ins, client payments and physical bullion
- Monitoring intraday price movements and staying abreast of market developments which could impact the company and / or clients
- Reporting on performance risk sensitivities
- Ensuring limit compliance is reported to management
- Liaison with Front Office
- Preparing MI
To be considered for this excellent opportunity candidates must be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a finance or economics-related discipline, or similar and demonstrate a sound understanding of the financial markets. You will also have excellent numerical, analytical and Excel skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential in this hybrid-working environment.
