- We are recruiting on behalf of a market leading global speciality insurance company based in the City for an Underwriting Assistant to support the Property Team. This position will suit a graduate or an individual who has gained solid A-levels who is keen to develop a career in the London Insurance Market. The purpose of the role is to support the team as it is key for that underwriting duties are carried out with accuracy and consistency.What you will be doing day-to-day:"Processing new business"Processing adjustments as necessary"Processing renewals"Maintain accurate records of underwriting data, utilising various internal and external software systems"Reporting - production of regular MI to Underwriters and ad hoc business reports"Update of risk, financial, and other information on associated platforms"Administrative support for Underwriters"Liaising with underwriters, brokers, and business partners"Investigating credit control queries and accurate data exchangeWhat you will need to be successful in the position:"Good MS Excel skills"Driven to learn and develop"Self-motivated"Ability to engage effectively with others and a team player"Good communication and time management skills"Accuracy and attention to detailThis is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is a looking to develop their career in the insurance underwriting sector.
