- A great opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding international bank based in central London for a SENIOR RISK OFFICER. There is a keen focus on operational risk for this role although the ideal candidate will have a strong all-round risk background, with experience and understanding of regulatory guidelines and controls. The purpose of the role will be to assist the Risk Manager in the handling and reporting of all non-credit risk issues.
Duties to include:
- Assist Risk Manager in identifying and reporting and risk related issues
- Monthly and ad hoc risk reporting to Head Office
- Ensure that Operational Risk procedures manuals and procedural documentation are regularly updated
- Coordinate and consolidate RCSAs
- Engage with the business and Head Office on risk related matters.
- Liaise with the business in order to produce and submit MI on special risk management and thematic reviews
- Lead Operational Risk Management Committee meetings and prepare minutes
- Keep abreast of the latest industry developments related to risk management
- Contribute to risk-related projects
Applicants will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or hold a relevant risk qualification will demonstrate recent, relevant non-credit related risk experience (e.g. market risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, operation risk etc.) together with strong analytical skills.
