Client Onboarding Team Manager, Wealth Management (Fixed Term Contract)

Up to £50k, pro rata

Wealth management group based in Nottingham is seeking to recruit a Team Manager to their Client Onboarding Team on a long-term contract of 18 – 24 months. This is a newly-created position in a new team that offers the security of a well-established and renowned company with the scope and opportunity that a newly-created role offers! After the initial project there is a possibility that the position could become permanent.

What the team do:
The team is made up of 6 staff who are responsible for onboarding new clients to the business, conducting KYC / AML checks, verifying documentation and at times, complex due diligence in order to establish a clients’ situation.

What you will do:
You will be required to oversee all aspects of managing the team, to include managing the daily running of the team, motivating staff and monitor work queues. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Operations Manager to contribute to the design and implementation of new processes, resolving any issues and responding to any feedback.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage to workflow of the team, ensuring that timescales are met
  • Ensure the team deliver a first-class customer service both internally and externally
  • Draft, maintain and develop procedures guides
  • Query resolution and acting as a point of escalation
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory, legislative and best practice guidelines
  • Responsible for staff training, development, conducting appraisals and the recruitment process
  • Designing and producing MI

Skills required for the role:
  • Experienced in managing and motivating staff
  • Sound knowledge and in-depth understanding of FCA / AML requirements
  • Designing, implementing and reviewing systems and procedures or building new teams would be highly desirable
  • An understanding of the requirements to ensure we are compliant with FATCA & CRS regulations would be useful
