- Expanding international bank based in central London is looking for a meticulous and confident Compliance Advisory Manager to join their growing team. The purpose of the role it to assist the Head of Compliance Oversight to enhance a positive compliance culture across the bank by continuing to improve the overall compliance control environment and framework, identifying, assessing and monitoring compliance risks and updating policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities -
- Assist the Head of Compliance in setting out the framework for their respective risk responsibility and recommending to the risk committee the mechanism for monitoring and reviewing.
- Development and review of risk database and maintenance of the returns database
- Deliver the Annual Compliance Plan and other compliance-related projects as required.
- Foster a positive working relationship with the Bank’s stakeholders.
- Continual evaluation and implementation of relevant Compliance policies, procedures and processes.
- Coordinate Compliance reporting both in the UK and Head Office.
- Contribute to oversight of compliance standards in the UK and internationally
- Keep abreast of regulatory change and advise/guide stakeholder accordingly
- Act as a point of contact for compliance quires from the business
- Work with SMF16 to respond queries raised by regulators and Senior Management
- Maintain the suite of compliance training courses
- Preparation of oversight reports and review of compliance reports produced by the team
- Facilitate regulatory project(s) to completion as required.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following -
- Compliance, regulatory or legal background with experience as a Senior Manager Function in a commercial environment.
- Understanding of relevant UK regulatory rules (PRA & FCA), FOS, Data Protection legislation – GDPR knowledge is essential.
- Knowledge of PRA and FCA approach to supervision.
- Financial services experience.
- Commercial and / or Retail Banking experience
