- Description
- Due to expansion, a boutique City-based bank requires a PR Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a newly created, standalone role reporting to the Head of Communications, where you will be responsible for driving awareness of the brand through targeted public relations and communications and the continual improvement of the communications strategy.
Hybrid-working is available for this role with 1 day per week in the office, in addition to any compulsory meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Promote the brand whilst protecting it’s reputation with stakeholders and influencers
- Developing thought leadership campaigns to targeted media for promotional coverage and designing an effective communication process by partnering key company leaders and ensuring delivery of the marketing strategy
- Building relationships with key industry publications and channels to promote the brand, building / developing / maintaining new and existing media relationships
- Work alongside media agencies to secure positive media opportunities to support business strategy
- Managing PR and financial media agencies
- Produce regular reports and presentations on the value of PR activities against objectives, budget and engagement
- Working alongside the wider business to creating engaging, joined up content for multiple audiences, using brand-focused language, focusing on multi-channel platforms
- Provide media training to internal spokespeople
- Keeping abreast of all compliance requirements and ensuring those requirements are always met
- Responding to media enquiries and creating action plans to deal with negative press and crisis management
- Working alongside the CSR Lead to fashion the CSR and ESG business strategy
Background & Skills:
- Relevant PR and Communications experience, gained within Financial Services
- Experience of creating and implementing PR plans.
- Strategic thinker with good business acumen
- Ability to manage external partners.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills,
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
A flexible approach to work is essential to this role.
