An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Credit Risk Manager to join a rapidly expanding international bank in Central London. You will be supporting the Head of the Risk Management Department in discharging duties of credit risk by supervising the credit policy, monitoring and special assets team to perform the 2nd Line of Defence functions.
Duties to include:-
- Working to address key risk issues identified by developing and conducting specific action plans. These will include leading the team to implement Risk Management Initiatives, and assisting the Head of Risk Management Department with ERM promotion by enhancing risk culture and awareness within the branch.
- Risk Policy Setting – Preparing and reviewing credit policies to enable the implementation of credit risk management strategies.
- Monitoring and updating, when required, the credit policies in place within the branch.
- Reviewing reported risk incidents and ensuring the compliance of relevant credit and regulatory policies.
- Regularly reporting issues related to credit risk management to the Head of the Risk Management Department.
- Coordinating with Risk Owners to implement and oversee account strategies for timely debt recovery actions.
- Directing the team to work closely with the Risk Owners in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and reporting credit risk of the branch.
Requirements for the role:-
- Educated to degree level, or with relevant professional qualifications.
- Experience within a supervisory role.
- Professional background within Credit risk and 2nd LOD.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
