An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly reputable and rapidly expanding global trading house based in the City. As a Market Risk Analyst, you will be monitoring and managing the intraday and overnight risk of the firm and working to mitigate this risk to protect the firm’s capital. The Hiring Manager is seeking someone ambitious, who is keen to grow and develop into a leadership role. Candidates must possess a good knowledge of market risk sensitivities.
Duties as a Senior Market Risk Analyst to include:
- Monitoring risk of client and firm positions and escalating any breaches where required
- Producing / maintaining a variety of risk management performance and risk reports
- Analysis and approval of position transfers, give-ins, client payments and physical bullion
- Monitoring intraday price movements and staying abreast of market developments which could impact the company and / or clients
- Reporting on performance risk sensitivities
- Preparing MI
Requirements for the successful Senior Market Risk Analyst applicant:
- Strong Market Risk experience with knowledge of Initial Margin, Value-at-Risk and Stress testing methods.
- Experience working at with trading platforms highly desirable.
- Very strong technical Excel skills, such as VBA. Experience using SQL or Python desirable.
