An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international Bank based in central London who are seeking a Settlements Officer to join them on a sixth month FTC. In this role, you will be inputting and verifying MM/FX deals and payments, managing orders for cheque and paying-in books, and assisting with further projects and relief duties as and when required. This is a very varied role, and would suit someone with previous Treasury experience who is now seeking a new challenge.
Duties of the Settlements Officer to include:
- Receive all incoming Swift messages and distribute them to departments. Create manual SWIFT payments.
- Check and input all of treasury products and check that all Settlement Instructions are included.
- Check all outstanding Confirmations and ensure that all Nostro accounts are balanced at the end of the day.
- Create and process all of Investment and Security Products processing (including Certificate of Deposit, UK Government T-Bill and Interest Rate Swap)
- Control the Bank of England RTGS account processing
- Heck the brokerage invoice and corresponding Bank statement against deals before payment.
- Manually record all Chaps and TT’s on control sheets.
Requirements for the successful Settlements Officer candidate:
- Full understanding of Swift formats
- Fully understand the Certificate of Deposit, UK Government T-Bill and Interest Rate Swap processing
- Previous strong Treasury experience and knowledge
