An exciting opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding City based Trading House who are seeking a Climate Analytics Leader who will be reporting directly to the Head of Climate Transition Finance. You will be working to enhance existing methodologies and updating analytics around climate transition risk, to support the company’s clients with their net zero transition plans. As a senior member in this team of climate modellers, data modellers and other sustainable finance experts, you will be mentoring more junior members and working to actively raise awareness across the company.
Duties of the Climate Analytics Lead to include:
- Enhance methodologies and develop and update analytics around climate scenarios/PCAF implementation
- Review and update emissions inference data methodology
- Be involved in the creation and enhancement of analytics for carbon foot-printing for different asset classes, the development of Temperature Metrics methodologies and the integration of climate risk in financial risk and return models.
- Contribute to establishing new modules that enhance climate transition
Requirements for the successful Climate Analytics Lead:
- Master’s Degree or Phd in Climate Science, Maths or relevant field
- At least 1-2 years’ experience with Python and other databases such as MongoDB, SQL etc
- Strong experience and knowledge of Climate science or modelling experience.
