A leading private bank in the City is seeking a Trust Manager to administer and promote their Trusts and Estates services as part of a 6 month fixed term contract. In this role you will be responsible for providing a world-class service to all customers, managing the day-to-day requirements of the trust and completing Accounts and Self-Assessment Tax returns as required. We are seeking experienced and highly professional individuals who hold relevant professional qualifications and memberships (such as S.T.E.P) and a high level of investment knowledge in accordance with FCA/STEP requirements.

Duties of the Trust Manager to include:
  • Overseeing the administration of Settlements and liaise with the HMRC solicitors and other Agents when required.
  • Completing tax returns, dealing with Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and tax certificates as required.
  • Administration of Charitable Trusts and of deceased’s Estates as executors or administrators of wills, codicils or on intestacy. You will be responsible for ensuring all debts, taxation and legacies are properly discharged and residue is distributed.
  • Writing Wills and Codicils for customers, pensioners and staff.
  • Overseeing investment reviews of the portfolios provided by investment advisors, and rectifying or adapting appropriately.
  • Assist with staff training and conducting staff appraisals.

Requirements for the successful Trust Manager candidate:
  • Membership of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (S.T.E.P) and relevant qualifications is essential
  • In-depth experience in all Trustee matters with a proven track record in a similar role and seniority level.
  • Educated to university undergraduate level or equivalent
  • Private Banking experience would be highly desirable
