A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Fintech company in central London, as they are seeking a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join them on a permanent basis. Our client provides financial services to high-net worth clients, and are undertaking exciting expansion within the digital assets space. As such, we are seeking candidates with experience working with digital assets and/or crypto environments.
Reporting to the CEO and sitting alongside the chief compliance officer, you will be responsible for managing the regulatory risk management across the firm, drawing up and implementing risk policies and procedures as well as liaising with external stakeholders.
Duties of the DMLRO professional to include:
- Lead the Compliance functions Financial Crime team in accordance with the firms values in delivering the firms vision and strategy.
- Mitigate financial crime risk and support the mitigation of key elements of the firm’s risk profile in respect of financial crime risk.
- Drawing up and implementing risk policies and procedures.
- Liaising with external stakeholders, such as correspondent banks and FCA.
- Establish and maintain effective compliance framework with appropriate policies, processes, procedures and controls that enhances the control environment in relation to managing financial crime risk.
- Design, manage and maintain Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators in relation to Compliance in collaboration with the Head of Compliance
Requirements for the successful DMLRO candidate:
- Previous experience working directly in digital assets or crypto within the UK
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, within a highly regulated environment
- Educated to University degree level or equivalent.
