An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced payments processor with experience in processing both UK and international manual payments.We are working on behalf of a thriving fintech start-up based in central London specialising global payments and treasury services. With serious growth plans, the company is looking to strengthen its Payments Operations Team. With an already impressive client base, this is a great time to get onboard as the company develops further. Please note that this role will be office-based 5 days a week.
Duties as the Payments Officer:- Ensuring all transactions, both incoming and outgoing are processed accurately and to deadlines by SWIFT, CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments
- Identify and escalate all systems and processing issues to Manager
- FX booking, collaborating with the Treasury and Dealing teams to ensure processing efficiency
- Monitor card payments
- Second check and authorise manually entered or repaired incoming and outgoing domestic and international payments.
- Investigation of queries and resolution of errors, liaising with Relationship Managers and clients with regards to payments issues, account queries and outstanding documentation
Requirements for the successful Payments Officer candidate:- Solid experience processing manual payments
- Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of inward and outward clearing procedures
- Results-driven with the ability to work in a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- A keen attention to detail
