Due to exciting growth and expansion, a highly prestigious financial services company is seeking to hire a Cheque Clearing Officer to join their Operations team. You will be responsible for processing a high volume of customer transactions, ensuring that all work is completely in a timely and accurate manner. You will be expected to provide an efficient and intuitive service to all customers, whilst managing and processing inward and outward cheque / image clearing. Duties of the Clearing Officer to include:
- Processing image clearing in line with procedures. This will include contacting customers and stakeholders for confirmation of payment instructions.
- Manage Inward and Outward Unpaid cheque process.
- Handle incoming Remittances for customers.
- Deal with the receipt / collection / negotiation of foreign cheques.
- Producing Copy statements upon customer request.
- Process Dollar and Euro clearing.
- Producing weekly reconciliation of internal accounts for stakeholders.
Requirements for the successful Clearing Officer:

Banking experience is essential, with knowledge of remitting CHAPS, SWIFT and reconciliations.

Clearing subject matter expert, with relevant professional background.

Candidates must be comfortable liaising with clients and stakeholders, and possess a friendly and professional customer service manner.
