A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a thriving and highly respected wealth management firm in Edinburgh. With a client-first approach, this role will play a vital role in providing tailored financial solutions to the company’s HNW clientele.
Duties of the Paraplanner to include:
- Responsible for producing and delivering compliant, high-quality and timely advice to Financial Planners and Clients.
- Ensure that best practice ideas are shared amongst the team by working proactively with the Paraplanning Manager and the wider team. This will enable you to highlight any suggestions for improvements to processes, templates and tools used, to ensure that the team can constantly improve upon their delivery of excellent client advice.
- Attend client meetings and interact with clients when appropriate.
- Delivering accurate and well-written reports and advice to agree deadlines, and ensuring that other contributors provide their necessary input on time, where necessary.
- Working to continually expand your professional knowledge by investigating new developments in the tax, legal and planning world.
Requirements for the role:
- CII Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent is essential
- CII Chartered Financial Planner status (desirable)
- Previous experience as a paraplanner, providing bespoke advice to complex clients who often have multiple need areas
- Strong technical knowledge; including calculations of Annual Allowance, Carry Forward, Bond Surrender, CGT, IHT etc
