CGT Specialist (6 month FTC)

Up to £400 / day

Hybrid / Remote (UK based) working available

A prestigious private bank in London is seeking a highly skilled CGT Specialist to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is crucial in providing expert support during the peak tax season. As a CGT Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the TIR system's data integrity to ensure accurate CGT data and reporting for all clients, while also supporting the Front Office and addressing their requests. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

Duties of the CGT Specialist to include:

  • Perform daily monitoring and maintenance of the TIR system.
  • Maintain client and holding data, including book cost adjustments, internal transfers, static data amendments, and correct fund switch processing.
  • Support internal stakeholders by responding to tax queries, providing tax reports and summaries, and advising on the tax treatment of corporate actions.
  • Support the production of annual CGT reports and consolidated tax vouchers.

Requirements for the successful candidate:

  • Proven experience as a CGT Specialist within the investment management, private banking, or wealth management sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK CGT legislation and its practical application.
  • Knowledge of Regnology Tax Information Reporting (TIR) platform
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
