Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in legal technology, backed by private equity, as they seek to appoint a visionary Chief Technology Officer. This is a rare chance to shape the technology strategy of a high-growth business that is transforming the legal industry through cutting-edge innovation.

As CTO, you will set and deliver the technology strategy, driving innovation and scalability across global operations. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a talented engineering and product team, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of legal tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the CTO to include:

  • Lead integration of IT systems from acquired companies into a unified platform post-M&A.
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap aligned with commercial and investor objectives.
  • Oversee software development, architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Champion digital transformation from content-only to tech-enabled solutions, unlocking new revenue streams.
  • Drive innovation in AI, automation, and data analytics to enhance legal workflows.
  • Conduct technology due diligence for acquisitions and ensure smooth tech and cultural integration.
  • Build and scale a world-class technology team across global locations.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory and security standards.

Requirements for the successful CTO to include:

  • Proven experience as CTO or senior technology leader within a private equity-backed environment is ESSENTIAL
  • Strong track record in scaling technology platforms globally.
  • Experience integrating disparate technology ecosystems through M&A is essential.
  • Expertise in SaaS, cloud architecture, and enterprise-grade security.
  • Commercial mindset with experience in investor relations and value creation.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
