- TO £70k + BENS + BONUSDue to rapid expansion this boutique banking group specialising in property lending have a brand new opportunity. They are seeking an Underwriting Manager to join their Property Lending division. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for Lending decisions and will play a key role in the ongoing mentoring and development of the Underwriting team. Candidate MUST have experience with leading a team AND have experience in property lending, particularly development finance, bridging finance and commercial lending.Duties to include:" Establish a customer-centric culture within the team, ensure all services and products are developed and designed in a manner which is appropriate to customer needs" Ensure that all compliance policies and regulations adhered to" Responsible for the ongoing development of your team providing training as required" Liaising with internal departments (Legal, Risk and Sales) and external parties (Surveyors, Solicitors and Customers).The successful candidate must have several years' experience within property underwriting and have strong management/decision making skills. The ideal candidate will be of Graduate calibre with experience managing small but successful Underwriting teams.
