Description
Overview:
International banking group based in the West End are seeking to recruit and Head of Regulatory Compliance to manage their Regulatory Operations Team. The Regulatory Operations team plays a vital role in designing the end to end operating model for regulatory implementations, as well as overseeing ongoing regulatory compliance. The team works closely with other operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance teams in order to fulfil its risk, control and solutions obligations under MIFID, EMIR, SFTR and CFTC reporting requirements.
 
Job Purpose/Background:
This role will head up the Regulatory Operations Team and includes line management of a small team. The overall goals of the team are to increase transparency into the pipeline of regulatory change and to the regulatory and operational risk of key processes, working closely with various business operations teams to:
  • Maintain and develop processes and systems
  • Provide oversight of impact assessments completed on regulatory reports in respect to new markets, products, regulation changes etc.
  • Communicate the pipeline of new regulatory asks impacting the operating model
  • Responsibility for capturing, tracking & reporting strategic regulatory projects for the firm
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Experience of working in the financial services industry across a wide range of products
  • Experience of Financial Services Regulations
  • Experience of implementing new regulatory regimes
  • Experience of managing staff
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong English Language skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong IT Skills, Excel, VBA, SQL essential
