- We are recruiting for a Software Engineer to join a rapidly expanding trading house based in the City to strengthen their tech team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality software products as well as the development of new software as the business expands. Applicants must recent relevant experience gained within Financial Services.You will be required to:You will have:
- Develop a plan of action, codes programs, prepare test data and perform testing/debugging activities with limited guidance
- Perform development, testing and implementation of application code

Participate in the entire lifecycle of software development including definition of requirements, architecture and development specifications, coding, quality assurance testing, deployment, documentation and support.

Assist with the implementation of programming methodologies, standards and procedures

Provide solutions to systems issues

Gather requirements from end users in multiple business units.

Produce high quality code

Software development experience in a commercial environment with exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Technologies used but not limited to:

ASP.Net Core / C#
-
JavaScript (ES5/6) framework, preferably React or Angular

TypeScript
-
Redux
-
Proficiency with browser based debugging and performance testing

Understanding of progressive web apps

Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha)

Experience using Git

Knowledge of object-oriented design and development and use of design patterns

Experience on interface development and integrating multiple applications

Worked in an Agile environment. Using Scrum, Kanban or similar methodology.

Use of development and project tools such as; Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.
