Description
We are recruiting for a Software Engineer to join a rapidly expanding trading house based in the City to strengthen their tech team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality software products as well as the development of new software as the business expands. Applicants must recent relevant experience gained within Financial Services. 
 
You will be required to:
  • Develop a plan of action, codes programs, prepare test data and perform testing/debugging activities with limited guidance
  • Perform development, testing and implementation of application code
  • Participate in  the  entire  lifecycle  of  software  development  including definition of requirements, architecture and development specifications, coding, quality assurance testing, deployment, documentation and support.
  • Assist with the implementation of programming  methodologies, standards and procedures
  • Provide solutions to systems issues
  • Gather requirements from end users in multiple business units.
  • Produce high quality code
You will have:

  • Software development experience in a commercial environment with exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Technologies used but not limited to: 
    • ASP.Net Core / C#
    • JavaScript (ES5/6) framework, preferably React or Angular  
    • TypeScript 
    • Redux 
    • Proficiency with browser based debugging and performance testing 
    • Understanding of progressive web apps 
    • Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha) 
    • Experience using Git 
    • Knowledge of object-oriented design and development and use of design patterns 
    • Experience on interface development and integrating multiple applications  
    • Worked in an Agile environment. Using Scrum, Kanban or similar methodology.
    • Use of development and project tools such as; Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.
