Description
A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within a well-regarded international banking group for a Business Planning Analyst. Working as part of a team of four, you will be responsible for assisting the team reach optimal efficiency and robustness for the Bank's operations.
 
You will be required to:
 
  • Support the Head of Operations with regard to business planning and budgeting
  • Support business efficiency projects, liaising with department heads across the business
  • Assist with providing reporting data, producing MI and activity reports to Management as well as reviewing SLA's and assisting with audit requests
  • Liaising with various department heads across operations to gather information for MI reports, analysing data for Senior Management pack whilst continually working to develop and refine the MI plan 
  • Prepare regular BAU reports including the collating and distribution of data
  • Review and analyse various operational risk reports, including error reports, control self-assessments and KRI's and provide guidance on regulations and procedure
  • Assist with the coordination of the Business Continuity Plan, establish a firm understanding of issues currently being faced and working to provide solutions and methods of addressing challenges
  • Assist with developing existing operational frameworks by providing insight and analysis
 
You will have:
 
  • Education to degree-level (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in banking or financial services operations or operational risk (experience gained in planning roles in a law firm also considered)
  • Experience in collating, analysing and presenting data
  • The ability to liaise and build relationships with staff at all levels - including Senior Management
  • Solid MS Excel (incl. pivot tables), PowerPoint and Visio skills in order to present and disseminate information
