A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Business Analyst at a rapidly expanding City-based trading group. The focus of the role will be on working with development teams to deliver efficient payment solutions to retail trading customers funding their accounts.
Duties to include:
- Work with colleagues in different business units and development teams to collect, discuss and assess business requirements and translate relevant requirements into functional specs for feasibility and resources analysis
- Analyse, design and document workflows and maintain system processes
- Undertaking gap analysis of existing business processes
- Participate in System Testing – agreeing test scenarios and assisting with test script generation for UAT, manual testing and automated testing
- Facilitate coordination of testing schedules and manage feedback
- Ensure all items and issues have been understood, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure full engagement and buy-in from business stakeholders and act as SME for functional business area
- Create and update functional documentation from 3rd party documentation
- Liaise with 3rd party providers
- Ensure elicit requirements are defined and completed correctly through facilitating cross-functional workshops
- Identify risks and enhance controls
To be considered, you must have experience in the following:
- Experience working in a similar role in a financial services company – trading preferred.
- An understanding of delivering real-time payments
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities and good ability to understand strategic business issues and appreciate technical and operation implications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good partnerships with stakeholders and external service providers.
- Show understanding of full project life cycle with experience of agile environment preferred
- Technically sound - SQL scripting, scenario modelling and calculation analysis in Excel
