A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a thriving City-based trading house for Data Reconciliations Specialist with solid reconciliations software experience (ideally Duco) to manage the consolidation of reconciliations data from three platforms into one platform. The successful candidate will be the operational in-house lead for the Duco system migration and once completed, the successful candidate will then be responsible for improving process / procedure and controls where necessary within that environment, creating efficiencies and automation where possible whilst having the ability to create and produce new reconciliation control check points as they arise to ensure operational risk is minimized at all times.

Daily responsibilities

• Produce an operational plan for system migration.
• Successful migration of data onto one single platform.
• Identify areas and opportunities for improvement, and providing solutions
• Liaising with IT teams to deliver data delivery improvements and build out new initiatives
• Liaison with internal and external Stakeholders and vendor for operational requirements
• Produce regular management summary updates on progress
• Ensure daily BAU process can be performed
• Assist with additional reconciliation project work including UAT
• Point of escalation for operational items regarding this subject matter

Experience required

• Experienced in using Excel and Duco or similar reconciliation software solution for data reconciliation gained in a banking / financial services environment is essential
• Exposure to Traditional OTC FX and bullion, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Securties, CFDs and Spreadbetting
• Experience of use VBA would be highly desirable
• Experience of working with large data sets
• Ability to follow, revise and improve set procedures
• Ability to build effective working relationships across the business and with vendors as well as the ability to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly and succinctly
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and provide solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
