- pecialist Lloyd's Syndicate and Members Agency, wish to strengthen their Capital Modelling Team with the addition of a Capital Modelling Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their career in the insurance industry and wishes pursue actuarial exams. Working to support the senior capital modellers the successful candidate will gain a wealth of exposure to all areas of capital modelling and assist the team with day-to-day modelling tasks.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting in the development, maintenance and operation of syndicate internal capital models
- Providing relevant analysis and model output for review by other team members
- Producing regulatory returns and supporting the SCR submission process
- Supporting the SCR validation process by performing various validation tests
- Assist with collection of relevant input data and parameters for use in the Internal Model
- Assisting with the production of RI Adequacy components of annual Actuarial Function report
- Minimum of a second class degree (or equivalent) in a mathematical or science based subject as well as good 'A' Levels (or equivalent) including at least one mathematical subject
- A desire to complete actuarial qualifications
- ANY relevant actuarial experience gained in either a capital, reserving or pricing environment would be highly desirable but by no means essential
- Excellent IT skills - particularly MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and with external bodies
- A keen attention to detail
