- Thriving global trading house is seeking an experienced Head of Client Services for Commodities to join their London operations. Covering the EMEA region, the Head of Client Services will manage a team of six staff and will be responsible for partnering with Front Office and Risk teams to provide a best-in-class customer experience to support new customer business and existing customer retention and growth with the aim of the customer experience serving as a value differentiator.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for managing, training and developing your team in providing customer support for the exchange traded business across all markets in the following areas:
- Satisfactory and timely resolution of client queries
- Ensuring the team inbox is managed and assisting staff with workloads during pinch point periods, as needed
- Assisting in the marketing of new clients and attending client meetings, as needed
- Onboarding of all clients, creating and maintaining new and existing accounts, liaising with Front Office and other teams across the business throughout
- Escalating issues to Compliance and / or senior management
- Agreement, collection and reporting of all client margins and cash debits
- Liaising with exchanges and clearing houses, ensuring that changes affecting client or margins are managed and reflected internally
- Driving the improvement of working practices and communication alongside Front Office and Risk teams as well as team processes to ensure responsibilities. Ensuring that all team processes and procedures are maintained and updated.
What you will need to be successful for the role:
- Strong operations and client services experience.
- Solid commodities knowledge. LME or European derivatives experience would be highly desirable, although not essential
- Solid managerial experience
- Good IT skills including MS Excel, SQL experience preferred
- Sound understanding of the full trade lifecycle and exchange & regulatory requirements
