Due to exciting growth and expansion, a highly prestigious financial services company is seeking to hire a Cheque Clearing Officer to join their Operations team. You will be responsible for processing a high volume of customer transactions, ensuring that all work is completely in a timely and accurate manner. You will be expected to provide an efficient and intuitive service to all customers, whilst managing and processing inward and outward cheque / image clearing. Duties of the Clearing Officer to include:
- Processing image clearing in line with procedures. This will include contacting customers and stakeholders for confirmation of payment instructions.
- Manage Inward and Outward Unpaid cheque process.
- Handle incoming Remittances for customers.
- Deal with the receipt / collection / negotiation of foreign cheques.
- Producing Copy statements upon customer request.
- Process Dollar and Euro clearing.
- Producing weekly reconciliation of internal accounts for stakeholders.
Requirements for the successful Clearing Officer:
- Banking experience is essential, with knowledge of remitting CHAPS, SWIFT and reconciliations.
- Clearing subject matter expert, with relevant professional background.
- Candidates must be comfortable liaising with clients and stakeholders, and possess a friendly and professional customer service manner.
