A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly expanding Trading House based in the City of London, as they seek an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join their communications team. The role will involve covering the communications of the many asset classes traded through this company, such as commodities, interest rates and equity derivatives. This is a very dynamic, exciting and international role, as you will be collaborating with teams across the globe, working with international communications, marketing and digital teams. Candidates must have excellent communications skills, and have previous experience working within PR / Communications, ideally within financial services. This would suit a driven, personable and hard-working candidate who is seeking to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties of the Senior PR & Communications Associate (Financial Services) to include:- Support the implementation of public relations activities, handling media inquiries.
- Pitch stories to the media and contribute to the generation of story ideas.
- Actively lead social media communications initiatives.
- Gradually assume greater responsibility for crafting messages and delivering external communication.
- Assist in preparing and editing corporate communication materials, such as writing press releases and crafting messaging for interviews and conferences.
- Oversee corporate media subscriptions, speaker requests, and the distribution of daily news coverage.
- Contribute to the management of website content.
Requirements for the successful candidate:- Educated to University Undergraduate level
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior stakeholders
- Previous communications experience working in a PR agency or in-house, with experience working with the media.
- Previous experience working within financial services, or working for an agency that specialize in this area is highly beneficial
